Why we exist
In 1999, a mother-and-son team, Karen Burks and Steve Wagner, left a national franchise after nearly a decade. It had grown too big to keep up with the technology agents actually needed. So they built the company they wished they'd had: independent, Alabama-grown, and run for the agent instead of the brand. More than two decades later, that's still the whole idea.
